BEST FOR THE MONEY AND VALUE….SIMPLY EYE-POPPING QUALITY. – Look no further, this is the best picture period; don’t watch a ton of reviews for other TV’s this is the one. Very important you get the 8K or 4K cable; it’s the only high speed method to capture all the beauty this television offers.

TCL Series Six – A Step Backwards This Year – First of all, I have ordered this item twice. The first time it arrived completely damaged with cracked screen. It did not function at all. The replacement actually did power up but was far was good. It had some major defects. The biggest one is that the eARC connection was dead, no signal in or out, no matter what settings you input. Also if you would like to watch 4k UHD discs at the recommended 24 fps, there is a serious issue with the A/V sync. It was out of sync by approximately 240 ms. This is beyond the ability of the TV or player to correct. If you turn off the 24 fps setting on the Sony player, 60 fps works fine but introduces glitches in the playback. This 24 fps issue did not exist with with my old 4k Samsung TV and Epson projector. That is not all, there is an issue with how the TV handles Dolby Vision. It is washed out, dull and almost unwatchable. It handles HDR 10 just fine. This issue only exists with the TCL and not the other TV or projector. Two units purchased and two are bad. I am not going to try for strike three. The TV does provide a beautiful image but it has far too many issues for a $ 1500 investment.

Great picture, good viewing angles, very bright – We got this TV to replace an almost 3yr old TCL Roku TV that started getting lines down the screen. I always buy the Asurion plans with smart TVs because usually the smart features go stupid after a few years (experience with Roku, LG, and Samsung). As expected, something went wrong after a few years (though not the Roku itself) and I essentially got cut a full refund check to purchase newer better tech – thanks Asurion!

Excellent TV for the money. – I will start this review by saying the TV I received is excellent. I was torn between the Hisense U8H and this R655, basically it came down to which one I could get first and with the 75 inch U8H not available, this won. The box arrived with only a few scuffs. The TV itself looks quite nice with thin bezels with metal edges. I like the single center stand (which is metal) over the feet style. The TV is heavy and a little thick on the bottom half but I think that is due to the mini-leds.
