An OK TV… some annoyances creeping up after 1 yr of use – I was pretty happy with the TV when I first bought it. The picture quality was similar to that of the big brands, but with the much lower price tag. I’ve had the TV for about a year and over the last several months I have started to experience some annoyances. There is often a lag in responsiveness when cycling through menu options. It occurs in all apps, so it definitely seems to be the TV, and not specific to certain Apps. Also, the TV will randomly shut off in the middle of a show every now and then, which is particualrly annoying when watching live sports. I don’t watch a ton of TV ( sometimes I go 5-6 days without ever turning it on), so I just deal with it. But if I was big TV watcher, I’d probably be looking to replace this one.

Good TV for price – We use this TV in the guest room. It is a good size for a bedroom and a very reasonable price.

For the price this TV is a no-brainer. Get it. – The sound on this TV is astounding. Our other way more expensive TV can’t even hold a candle to it. Right off the bat it’s a win. The picture quality for video games, my primary use, is spectacular but ONLY if you go into the menu and choose Game Mode. If you do not do this, it is laggy almost to the point of unusability. It’s a shame an auto-detection wasn’t built in, or the ability to assign a particular input source that attribute.

A good tv for the price – After my TCL 55 inch Roku tv arrived defective, I sent it back (something in the software was defective, it never had any kind of picture). UPS picked it up the next morning, and Amazon credited my account the day after that (the Amazon website says 7 days after return). It turned out that I could get the Android version of the same tv delivered immediately, so I abandoned my Roku fantasy (still have no experience with it) and ordered this one. It arrived the next day. The setup was easy. I don’t have much experience with high end tvs, but this picture is more than good enough. The only criticism I have is that the remote is really small. The last 42 inch Samsung tv I bought 15 years ago cost twice as much, was two or three times as heavy, and had no internet access. I will be amazed, however, if this one lasts anything close to 15 years.
