Perfect protection for mounting TV outside – I installed this in the spring, and it’s been an amazing addition to our porch throughout the summer. Rather than buy an outdoor TV (which can cost a ton), I found the Storm Shell. It’s been a constant to watch sports during those outdoor cookouts, or a movie while the kids are in the pool. I even use it as a shared / presentation display when having work meetings at my house, broadcasting via airplay.

Survived Hurricane Ian and Nicole without a single leak or moisture breech – I bought this almost a year ago. It’s mounted on the outside back of our house, fully exposed to the elements. It has now gone through both Ian and Nicole and not a drop of moisture has gotten inside. Worth every penny!

This thing is a must have for an outdoor tv – This product is amazing! Very easy to install. I built a brace out of 3/4 by 4” material, put a piece 3/4 ply wood that was stained and sealed on top of the brace with 1.5” screws. Prior to mounting the ply wood I pre drilled the template of the storm shell so putting everything up was super easy. Add in a $215 roku smart tv and boom you are set! The storm shell just kept the tv, remotes and all wiring dry through hurricane Ian so five stars from me. The only thing that disappoints me about this product is when I purchased the storm shell I paid $193 and change from Amazon prime for the 32-44 inch shell. As I started sharing my awesome find with people the price continued to skyrocket now being listed for $333 for the exact same shell. $193 is a more than fair price for this but it’s worth every penny. We are enjoying football games, movies and Xbox sessions outside now!

Great product. Bad customer service. – I ordered the wrong size initially and returned it for a bigger shell. I love the design and it’s sturdiness. What I don’t like is that I have yet to receive my refund after the wrong shell was delivered back to the company within a day of me dropping it off at the UPS store. I verified this information by utilizing the tracking number from UPS. It’s been almost three weeks since they’ve received it. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Great Way to Protect TV from OutDoor Elements – I wanted a way to permanently mount the TV without having to worry about the weather. The 65″ TV StormSheild was the perfect way to go too protect my 65″ non-outdoor TV, lots of reviews said they had problems with assembly which I did not, I followed the directions verbatim. The hard plastic cover protects the entire TV and the hard shell top cover is very easy to remove and put back on. I read one review that said water got inside the case after a heavy rain storm, I check inside the casing after mine was in a heavy rain storm and there wasn’t any water inside at all. I had the soundbar placed under the TV StormSheild without protection at first until I had a heavy windy rain storm which soak the soundbar and hornets built a nest inside the side speaker hole which really made me purchase the soundbar StormSheild. Now I have peace of mind knowing that my outdoor entertainment system is fully protected from all outdoor elements.

Disappointed somewhat – While product is as advertised, if you want to use the full tilt feature, the cover does not fit.

Not perfect but worth it despite the little issues – Cheaper than some other brands but worth it despite some assembly problem. S. Two washers were missing but no big deal. Biggest issue was when installing the 2 angle brackets to join the tub halves, some of the bottom bracket holes would not line up regardless of how I tweaked the bracket. I marked where the holes should fall and were off about 1/4 inch. Instead of drilling new holes and risk a crack between the two, I used some thick plastic washers/longer screws and it was just enough to offset the difference. Both brackets were drilled identical, which means the tub was not aligned in their machine. Thank goodness they were mis-drilled in the direction where it could be fixed. For brick mounting, 3.25″ (1/4″) tapcon screws seem to grab the back half of the brick perfectly. Once up the tub corners would rattle against the brick. Fortunately, the corner holes were in line with mortar joints so a drywall anchor/screws and fender washers took care of that. One last tweak needed: the bottom center of the cover was “bowed out” and I could push it down even with all the latches down. All that was needed was remove the cover, loosen the long bracket along the bottom and retighten while gently tweaking the center inward. Perfect fit and now enjoying movies outside. Hopefully the TV will make it thru the extreme temps.
