Not plasma…but pretty darn close – There still isn’t a display out there that can compare to my Pioneer Elite plasma, but we needed a bigger set, so figured we’d give OLED a go. The set is, in a word- fantastic. Colors are bright and vivid and with the right source, the detail is phenomenal. However, the plasma still reigns supreme when it comes to smooth motion and a film-like experience. Even with the horrid smoothing algorithms (aka soap-opera effect) turned off, the picture still feels a bit “digital”. I didn’t account for this in my rating because these issues are related to the technology and not this specific set. It’s a shame that plasma went extinct, but just like vacuum tubes for music, most consumers value convenience over quality. With that said, this is a wonderful TV and I recommend it without hesitation.

– Expensive but a fantastic TV. Not many on the market than can touch the quality of the Sony.

Awesome Picture, Great Sound! – Super high definition and nearly theatrical sound. I love this tv. Next, a sound bar to kick it up a notch. This was an open box item, so I was concerned about quality. The tv was in the original plastic inside a box that had been opened. No a scratch or dent nor any missing pieces. Very easy set up with my subscriptions. I couldn’t ask for more.

Big Boy! Viewing angle is awesome. 77″ unit – Right out of the box review (like 2 hours ago). Will update as I get some experience with this TV.

Picture is outstanding – As most of the other reviewers have stated, the picture from this TV is really great. Are other cheaper sets just as good? I don’t know. Suffice to say that the picture is really, really good. Read the other reviews for more information. I’m going to comment on some other areas that you should probably know about.
