These are the Best remotes for ROKU TV’s or replacement remote for devises. – I have TCL Roku TVs in the house. I just bought a 55 inch this Black Friday. The remotes that come with them have to be pointed at the TV for them to work. And no voice search. So I cannot deal with them. This is second one I have bought and work with the TV just like the device you buy without a TV. I recommend on to any roku TV or replace your remote for your device.

A great replacement for TCL tvs (Roku edition) – My TCL Roku remote died recently. I bought a generic replacement that did work but had terrible range and felt very low quality. This remote is more expensive, but it’s totally worth it. The build-quality and feel in hand is excellent. Despite the instructions telling me to turn on my tv, then press the pairing button, all I had to do was to turn it on and it detected and configured the remote. This remote has vastly improved range which has greatly improved the experience. Considering buying another one for my second TV.

Almost Perfect – I have had Roku devices for many years, but this is my first remote with voice recognition. The voice feature is a major improvement most of the time. I will be comparing the voice remote with the almost identical looking remotes without the microphone. First of all, if you have an older Roku device, there is a good chance that it is compatible with the new voice remote. Check on the Roku website (mentioned in the Amazon listing) to be sure. (Hint: if your really old Roku operates at a snail’s pace, you need a newer one, voice or not).

Simple, but An Occasional Glitch – I love the simplicity of the Roku remotes. The remote for my LG TV has more than 40 fussy buttons. Something like muting the TV is easy with the Roku. Not so with the LG. The voice feature works fairly well, but can’t always find programming on my subscription services.
