Very cheap feeling, but it works like it is supposed to. – I need this for a new tv that we put in our RV and we wanted to connect a Wii to it. We had component connections that we needed to convert to hdmi. This device worked perfectly to do that. It is very light weight and just doesn’t feel like it is make the best, but I can’t ding it for not doing what it is supposed to. It does require a power source which I missed, but it does come with it. Overall, it does what it is supposed to and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

It Just Works – I have an old Pioneer DVR-633H-S DVR/DVD player that only has composite and components video outputs. My TV only accepts HDMI inputs, so I thought I’d give this converter a try to see if I could connect the Pioneer DVR to my TV with it. It works!

Conflicted. Recommend 720/1080p devices ONLY – I’m conflicted with this device. I bought it to use the FIRST PARTY Microsoft branded OEM component cables with my original Xbox. And it does that. However that’s not all it does. Many games on Xbox aren’t HD. The most that aren’t, this converter struggles with. Most of the time there are vertical lines either static, or slowly moving left or right. I presume this is some form of interlacing. Even with the Xbox set to 480p, with my AVR and TV stating it’s receiving 480p, the lines persist. However, now lets get to why I’m conflicted.
