YASSSSS! GET YOU ONE… NOW! – I have been using the Roku app remote on my phone for monthS- like a long time. I was hesitant to purchase a replacement, because I heard it was hit or miss if a non brand-name replacement one would work (I think people are just purchasing the wrong remote for the type of roku they have – an internal or external one, more on this further down in the post). Well, let me tell you, IT WORKS! I couldn’t be more happy. I put the batteries on, put the silicone sleeve on it, and went to try to volume buttons [assuming it wasn’t going to work, if we are honest], and it WORKED. I seriously did a little freaking dance. I am so happy to have a regular remote back. And bonus, I HAVE TWO! I didn’t put the silicone case I ordered or the batteries in the second remote, I put it up, god forbid I lose this one. The weight of the remote once you put the batteries in is the same as the original one the tv came with.

works but shipped with dead batteries – I have a TCL Roku tv with a damaged remote so ordered this one since it says ‘no programming’ and work right out of the box. Got it and put in the batteries and it did nothing. I was going to send this back but read other reviews stating to try changing the batteries. Once I did this it worked as advertised. Just too bad they shipped out dead batteries.

As advertized, just add batteries and it works, no programming – I Like the fact that this does exactly what the ad says. Insert batteries and it works, No Programming. Both remotes seem to work as they should. Only time will tell if they last. I see no reason why they shouldn’t. They look and feel nearly like the OEM remote. For the price, if they fail, I’ll replace them again.
