FAST! – UPDATE: After about a month of daily use, I’m seeing random lag spikes of 100 ms to 2 seconds. This doesn’t affect normal web browsing, downloads or watching Youtube, but it’s highly obnoxious when using Teamviewer or audio/video chats. This is not an issue with my router or interference, since other devices on my network don’t experience it. It’s not my laptop or its OS either, since if I switch back to the internal wifi card, this issue disappears (but then I get random disconnects every half hour or so again, which is why I got a USB wifi adapter in the first place). I’m docking a star because of this issue, but it’s still usable so I’m continuing to use it.

Love This – I have used this thing for a long time now and cant not have it now. The wifi with it is always strong, I live in a two story townhome with the modem downstairs. I have my computer upstairs. I never have connection problems with this device. If the internet is ever disconnected it is easy to use the computer app to reconnect.

Quadrupled my Internet Speed – Super easy to set up hardware and install drivers. You don’t even have to plug it into your computer, you can set it up on its stand and run a ISB from the stand to your computer so it’s bulkiness isn’t even a bother.

Amazing Improvement – My computers are not close to my router so the signal is a little diminished which affected the speed. This adapter increased the speed on one of the computers from about 30Mbps download & 6Mbps upload to 123Mbps down and 21Mbps up. The only negative I have is that is a bit bulky and it cannot be rotated to accommodate a tight area. Should be less of a problem on a laptop though.

Give Your Aging Laptop a Bit of a Boost! – Moved into a new house and have my office setup in a shed across a large driveway from the house where the router is installed on the 2nd floor. My existing ASUS Vivobook is getting a little long in the tooth, but was still picking up wifi signal without any booster. Definitely not getting the 1GB speeds I’m paying for, but it allowed me to get some work done. I have another laptop for work with another client and it was able to get a much stronger signal. Initially another older laptop wouldn’t see the signal at all, so I ended up grabbing a cheap $60 Netgear USB dongle at Wal-Mart. Noticed better speeds on both other laptops than my own ASUS.
