Not the same product as shown on Amazon – The video showed a locking mechanism, but when product arrived it shows a hook to hold it in the up position. Tv has to be slid either way to lock or unlock. Not as advertised

Very difficult to fold and latch a 55in/37lb TV – I would estimate the the average person would most likely be unable to fold a TV heavier than 20lbs, and latching it would be impossible

Better Than A Wall Mount! – We love this ceiling mount. It holds our 43″ TV and the locking mechanism to store it away works great. We used press on hooks to get the wire out of the way. The motion of the mount is great you can loosen the bolts so that it twists.

55″ LG too heavy for the ceiling mechanism. – The mount holds the TV from the ceiling but when you try and fold it up for storage, the mechanism is too weak to hold the LG 55″ we bought for the back porch. The mount has a lot of sway in it too when the wind blows. I would recommend going with something that costs a bit more for the quality.
