Release pressure on the macro HDMI connector jack on the camera – I used it on my camcorder HDMI output, this adapter is to transfer the pressure from the long regular HDMI cable. It will protect the connection to camera without tension and it is not easy to break the camera connector.

Excellent Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter! – I have a portable monitor that only has a mini HDMI port mainly for XBox, Switch, etc. I needed to be able to plug in regular HDMI cables into it. This adapter performed everything I needed it to do. I am very happy with it. Now, I did only receive it tonight, but I have been using it for the past few hours with absolutely ZERO problems. Highly recommended so far.

Be sure to check your camera’s setting before using with an external monitor as some cameras, like my Canon EOS T7 require wifi be turned off before attempting to connect it to an external monitor. Without knowing this you may be tempted to think that the adapter doesn’t work if the external display doesn’t automatically pick up when you plug it in.
