Works better then i expected. – Nowadays, it is hard to trust anything sold on internet, or any kind of techology because they are often unreliable or defective for poor quality or the fact that they are not like advertised. But for this Adapter, i only have great things to say about it!

Perfect! – My USB wifi adapter stopped working with my computer, so I gave this one a try and I am so happy with it! I especially like how it doesn’t take up the whole wall socket, but the ethernet chord that came with it was a little too short, so I used a longer one I had laying around.

Works well but was difficult to configure with my home office network – Plan was to use this unit for my home office hard wired Ethernet connection. After setup it did not work initially with my home office router despite the wi-fi working providing a good signal. It was only after rebooting and reseting all of my equipment including this unit, that I was able to connect to my employers VPN via the extender. It appeared to work with no issues thereafter.

Does a great job – I use this product to remotely connect my Tivo Mini that only has a hard wired Ethernet port. The setup is as easy as can be. The signal is strong. It works great. The only knock on the product is that my Wifi6 router has a “smart connect” feature that has one SSID for both the 2.4 and the 5 GHZ channels . This confused the AC1200 and I had to turn this feature off.

Works as both a wireless extender and Ethernet wired access point at same time – I have an older Onkyo TX-8050 receiver that was originally connected wirelessly though a USB adapter that Onkyo sold. Well, that adapter died recently and the replacement adapter are no longer manufactured and are now very expensive on the used market. The Onkyo has an ethernet port so when searching for a solution I ran across this adapter, for a reasonable price so I ordered it. When it arrived I plugged it in and tried the WPS auto connect approach. To my disappointment that didn’t work, so I went through the manual connection process which was easy and well documented. After one try I was connected to my wireless router so I unplugged it, moved it to the outlet behind the receiver and plugged in an ethernet cable. Using DHCP my Onkyo connected up right away. I then used the Onkyo remote app on my cellphone to connect up to setup and control the Onkyo. My wireless control is back and as a bonus my USB port is now free to use for plugging in USB memory sticks with music on them. Now I didn’t really need the wireless extender capabilities but I decided to try them out. Using my cell phone to connect I could see the AC1200 device put out two new access points. They are named the same as my original wireless router with EXT and 5GEXT added to the original name. One is a 2.4GHz access point and the other is a 5GHz access point. I connected up to the 2.4GHz access point and ran some speed test. It performed just as if my phone were connected directly my wireless router, with speed that matched. Then I tried connecting to the 5GHz signal. The speed tests showed a connection a couple of Mbs faster than the 2.5GHz connections. Both connections worked great. As expected the 5GHz signal strength is a little lower than the 2.4GHz signal. The higher the frequency used the more power it takes to get an equivalent strength signal. Higher frequencies are more susceptible to interference like walls and other physical obstacles. I should note that there are two walls between my wireless router and the extender device. Despite what was written in an earlier review, you can use both the wireless extender and ethernet access points as the same time. I suspect on an older model this might now have been the case because the instructions to mention a switch to switch between the capabilities but there was no such switch on my device. I really would have liked to give this a 4.5 star rating as the only reasons I marked it down a little was due to the WPS connect feature not working and I have the unit about 20 ft. from my wireless router and that seems to be about the limit with the wall I have to go through. Fortunately that’s all I need so I am very happy so far. One last thing, after registering the device you will get a 30 month extended warranty for free. Hoping I won’t have to use it though.

A non techie was able to install it – no problem – just follow YouTube video from “HighTechCheck” – Just now installed my BrosTrend AC1200. Saved the cost of new TV. WiFi failed on my 4 year old LG 43″ bedroom TV and bought the BrosTrend 1200 WiFi Extender. Spectrum Modem/Router doesn’t have”WPS” button or couldn’t find it, so I used your manual setup guidance, and and Viola – my 4 year old LG TV now has Ethernet connection!! Couldn’t get 5G to connect, but 2G is working fine.

Connected aging smart TV to my EERO Pro 6E Mesh wifi – Had a slightly older smart TV that was dropping the wifi signal. Connected the BrosTrend AC1200 to my mesh EERO Pro 6E wifi (used my galaxy S10 smart phone to make the connection as EERO doesn’t support WPS) and then connected my smart TV to the BrosTrend with a Cat6 ethernet cable
