Not as durable as I expected but warranty does work – I bought this cable for my S8+ a little over a year ago. Last month I noticed the connector started to separate from the wire as shown in the picture. On top of this, the connection started to fail so I could not rely it any longer. I expected this cable to outlast the one that came with the phone (it did not). The cable that came with my phone still works 2 years in, this one died about 1yr in.

An excellent Charging/Data Cable – The truth is I never knew the brand name ANKER before now. I was looking on Amazon for a type-C charging/data cable for my cellphone and I came across an ANKER product. I said, this one comes in a box, it looks good. I went and checked the reviews. Now let me be clear. I NEVER buy a product on line without first checking the reviews. I work hard for my money and I want to always spend it wisely. The reviews were all excellent, except for one. In that one case the buyer complained that the cable (the jack) fitted very loosely and it kept falling off. But then, here’s what. Another buyer explained that the jack has to be pressed firmly in place and it gives a perfect fit. Now, I had a similar “problem” with my cable. (I bought the PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 cable). I said, ‘This cable is defective. The jack gives a bad fit’. Then I remembered what I read in the reviews and I pressed the jack firmly in. You should have heard my loud laughter. The fit is indeed perfect. Truth be told, of all the cables I have come across (and I have come across many) the ANKER PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 is the best.

Works for Android Auto – I bought a couple of these for Android Auto, as recommended by Google, as both of our phones (same model) were constantly disconnecting. Even though our phones were the exact same model, are cars were slightly different – both Chevy but different models. That said, this cord perfectly solved my problem and I haven’t had any issues since. My husband has not been so lucky, however. So apparently leverage will still vary as to whether this cable works for you but it did for me.

Questioning its durability – I have two of these and as you can see its only 7 months old. I use these every day with my two Anker block batteries. My phone is almost always charging because of heavy use. I’m really disappointed that its no longer able to charge my phone. I’m praying its the cord and not the two batteries. Odds are its the cord. But I’ve already had to replace this cord this is not my first replacement either. The first one frayed at the plug but this one shows no wear or damage. It just doesn’t connect to charge anymore. I’m beginning to question the durability. For 11.00 it should last at least one year. Buying another one and hoping its not my 2 year old phone.

Stopped working after a year – It’s one of the more expensive cables because of the usb c to lightning, and it worked ok for most of a year. But stopped altogether afterwards. So 1 year durability is ok but not great.

This Anker USB-C works great and is a fast charging cable – This Anker cable is not that cheap, but it does the job very well. Its very well made, easy to bend and the connectors are solid. Its USB 3.0, with the fast charging/power USB-C connector. Its odes have the overload protection for Samsung products so it won’t charge their batteries to fast. I been using it on a Nokia 6.1 Cellphone and really charges fast and the battery never gets past warm when charging. More than pleased with this Anker cable. I been using various Anker cables/chargers for years and not a one has ever failed me.

Works for Android Auto – I bought ths to use Android Auto in my car. I was using charging cords and the app didn’t work all the time. I thought there was something wrong with the car because I switched charging cords several times. Finally I googled the problem and found out that I needed a data cord for it to work properly. I bought this cord and haven’t had any problems since.
